FlowTech CHT High Flow spuitstuk voor 3D-printen
CHT-nozzles splits the filament strand into three channels inside. The larger contact surface melts it faster, allowing more material to pass through at the same temperature. When purchasing, consider the thread system, bore diameter, and material.
What the splitter cone does
Higher volumetric flow at the same nozzle temperature, meaning either higher speed or thicker layers without under-extrusion. The benefit only becomes apparent when neither the extruder nor the printer’s acceleration is the limiting factor.
Limitations
The nozzle does not replace a high-flow hotend: the heating element must supply the heat that is carried away. With 0.4 mm, the difference is small; with 0.6 to 1.0 mm, it becomes significant.
Material
Brass conducts heat best and is suitable for unfilled filaments. Hardened and bimetal versions withstand carbon fiber and glass fiber, but conduct heat less effectively, which means a slightly higher target temperature is required.
Check the system
V6 and MK8 both use an M6 thread, but differ in overall length and tip shape. The installed system is listed in the printer manual or can be determined by measuring the removed nozzle.
After installation
Flow rate and maximum volumetric flow must be recalibrated. Without an adjusted profile, the nozzle prints at the same speed as the old one, only with more reserve.
